Main functions
•
Professional training of the DG Fire Safety and Protection of Population – Ministry of interior employees
•
Education of the bodies and the units of the Integrated Rescue System in the Republic of Bulgaria, performing functions in the protection of the population to disasters, emergencies and catastrophes
•
Training on International Programs of the EU, NATO, IAEA and others
•
Participation in Emergency and Rescuers Recovery activities and humanitarian operations
•
Participation in international projects in the field of disaster protection

CURRICULUM PROTECTION IN CASE OF DISASTERS, ACCIDENTS AND CATASTROPHES MODUL CBRN
Total number of classes – 338 hours: theory – 110 h; practice – 228 h.
Course content: Basics of radiation and chemical protection; Protection means; Technical means and equipment for CBRN accidents response; CBRN emergency planning and preparedness; CBRN accidents mitigation.

Total number of classes – 160 hours: theory – 64 h; practice – 96 h.
Course content: Basics of radiation protection; Individual protective equipment; Dosimetry; Decontamination; Emergency planning and emergency preparedness in radiation accidents; Mitigation of accidents with sources of ionizing radiation.
