This occurs between Oct 1 and Nov 15. Co-tenants of Belgrave South Recreation Reserve with the South Belgrave Cricket Club, Enjoy a great relationship with the cricket club with several members of both clubs. Both clubs moving in the same direction to improve facilities for the community and sharing Resources to ensure this occurs effectively. Established training gymnasium at clubrooms recently for use by members. Plans to upgrade coaches boxes and scoreboard within next 12 months. Council have advised fencing is due for replacement in next few years. Expect all to be elected unanimously. President & Vice President positions will remain unchanged. Strengthen executive with inclusion of a deputy vice president. Current treasurer Joanne Apps will remain on general committee next year. Large number of 2007 general committee will remain for 2008. Inclusion of several new fresh members for 2008 committee. All current & proposed executive committee positions and coaches endorse a move to EFL. Current sponsors endorse move to EFL, and the move will open up several new opportunities. South Belgrave Junior Football Club committee is supportive of the move to EFL. Junior club fielded 10.11,12.14,16 in 2007 Current trainers are committed for season 2008 Assets Funds Equipment ASSETS South Belgrave Football Club is currently in the best financial position in clubs history. Expected 2007 turnover is equal to the reported average for EFL division 3 and 4 clubs. Comparisons of season 2007 costs between EFL & YVMDFL reveal a slightly higher cost in EFL of approx $1,000. Not perceived to be a significant financial issue, and believe other benefits justify this. These Include the supply of umpires and improved levels of insurance cover. Comparisons of match day revenue with fourth Division EFL clubs, Forest Hill & Eastern Lions, revealed similar revenue to what South Belgrave currently generate in YVMDFL. Reputation Quality of play Behavioral REPUTATION Seniors: finalists from 2000 - 2006, runners up 2003, 2004 & 2005. In 2007 finished 7th in division two with six wins and 10 losses Reserves: finalists 1998 - 2005, premiers 2004 & 2005, runners up 2002 & 2003. In 2007 finished 6th with seven wins, 8 losses and a draw Under 18's: finalists 2000-2007, premiers 2002 & 2006, runners up 2001 . In 2007 lost preliminary final to finish finished 3rd with 12 wins and 6 losses Players lost to EFL 6, 7 and 2 over the past three years Good Sports accredited Club Several members have completed Responsible Service of Alcohol course. BOARD RECOMMENDATION “The South Belgrave Football Club be accepted as an affiliated senior club and a member of the league.
