It is a sixteen week “Professional Internship.”

experiences where students seeking licensure can
effectively demonstrate skills in each of the following

Student Teaching
Your student teaching experience requires a large time
commitment from you.
Full Time Internship. Monday through Friday. 7-8 hours
at the school during the day. Evening and weekends will
be spent planning and preparing for future instruction.
Begin to think about how you will manage all your
responsibilities and commitments.
Student teaching is a 16 week interview and can be a
gateway to a job opportunity.
TPA Requirement
The state of Ohio has mandated that beginning Fall 2013,
all Pre-service teachers must complete a TPA (Teacher
Performance Assessment) during your student teaching
experience.
Required as part of your Student Teaching course. If you
do not complete and upload final TPA portfolio you will
fail the course.
Cost to you as a student is $300.00

that is in alignment of the Ohio teaching standards.
 It is a collection of artifacts and commentaries.
 It is based on a learning segment of 3-5 days.
