What is mash up?
A social recreational
football programme
for 14 – 16 year olds
who are looking to get
back into or try
football for the first
time
Mash Up Philosophy
The Philosophy of the Vauxhall Football Mash Up Clubs
programme is to inspire and empower young people
through a fun, recreational football playing opportunity
that has been specifically designed for 14-16 year olds.
The VFMU programme nurtures the young person’s social
and psychological development through the creation of a
teenage specific environment that centres on the needs of
the individuals.
The VFMU programme seeks to instil ownership,
responsibility and respect through participation and
leadership supporting young people to grow in confidence
and enhance self esteem via thought provoking practical
sessions.

What young people have said!
Great, because
you get to play
with other girls
from other
schools and ages
“Having a kick around,
learning new skills and
having fun with my
mates.”
Games aimed at
improving certain aspects
of football such as
passing and shooting etc.,
matches
It is fun and that it is a
social event that we
talk about in the days
before Mash-up, so we
are always excited
Being able to play football
in a relaxed, friendly
atmosphere
Football Mash-up
has been a fun
experience and I
would love to attend
again
