Action completed (i) 7 – 2005 Annual Conference Liaise with Bunka to finalise arrangements for 2005 Conference. Secretariat has been actively interacting with Bunka and all the activities scheduled at the Annual Conference have been finalized (j) 10 – Election ByeLaws Bye-Laws to be finalized. Action completed (k) 11 – Accounts and Finance Balance Sheet for the period 1st April 2004 to 31st March 2005 to be finalized and audited. Revival of Interest of Existing Members Work Plan Website Formatting of Conferences Increased Interaction and Dissemination of Information -26- Report on Activities Accounts 1. The Balance Sheet as at 31.03.2005 finalized and got audited. 2. Income tax return for the year 2004-2005 filed. 3. Permanent Account No. (PAN) of IFFTI obtained. 4. Tax Deduction Account Number (TAN) for IFFTI has been obtained from the Income Tax authorities. 5. Permission for non-deduction of Tax at Source (TDS) granted, and a refund of the entire tax deducted has been obtained. 6. Registration of IFFTI U/S 12A of Income Tax Act for exemption from payment of Income Tax on income received by IFFTI through contributions made. 7. Application for approval under Section 80G of IT Act for grant of 50% deduction of taxes in the hands of donors for all donations made to IFFTI filed. 8. Permission under Section 35 of Income Tax Act has been applied for, to allow contributors exemption from tax of expenditure @125% of the amounts contributed towards Research. 9. Separate IFFTI Bank Account in US Dollars has been opened. -26- Report on Activities Outstanding Dues of US$ 1,10,000 realised. On a proposal from Bunka to provide incentives to the winners of the Design Competition, the Committee agreed to provide two return economy class airfares to the two winners (one from each category) of the Design Competition, to visit Japan for interaction with world renowned illustrator Prof. Isao Yajima of Japan at a subsequent time mutually convenient to all concerned. In case the winner was from Japan, he/she would be provided airfare to visit another IFFTI Member Institution, the arrangements for which would be undertaken by Bunka. . -31- Website http://www.iffti.com -40- Network of Specialised Information Committee 1.
