WARNING
Level flight may not be possible for certain combinations of weight, temperature, and altitude. In any event, do not attempt an engine inoperative go around after wing flaps have been extended beyond 15'.

CLEARING TURNS
• Set heading bug to entry heading • • Reduce MP to 15” to slow down(if necessary) Clear 90° to left • Clear 90° to right
STEEP TURNS
• Set power to 17-20”/2400rpm • Set heading bug • 45°-50° bank ±5° • Add 2-3” as rolling past 30˚ • Altitude ±100’ • Roll out on heading ±10°
SLOW FLIGHT
• Clearing turns • “Before landing checklist” • Set desired configuration • Slow to 90mph • Power to 16”-18” MP to maintain altitude • Complete maneuver as requested • Recover by: • Adding full power • Flaps slowly up • Gear up • Cruise checklist

POWER-OFF STALL
• Clearing turns • “Before landing checklist” • Set required configuration • Establish descent at 105mph • At selected altitude transition smoothly to power idle, and 10°-12° nose high • At first sign of stall initiate recovery: • Reduce AOA • Full power • Level wings • Retract flaps slowly to 15˚ • Pitch for Vx • Positive rate, Retract gear, then Vy • Flaps Up • Cruise checklist
Vmc Demonstration
• Clearing turns • Clean configuration • Full power • Slowly close left throttle • Maintain directional control • Pitch up SLOWLY • Recover at first sign of: • Loss of directional control • Any indication of stall • Reduce power on operating engine • Reduce AOA to blueline • Bring throttles together at 15” MP • Cruise checklist
POWER-ON STALL
• Clearing turns • Takeoff configuration • Slow to 90mph • Power to 15”MP, then 10°-12° nose high • At first sign of stall initiate recovery: • Unload slightly below horizon • Full power • Level wings • Pitch for Vx • Positive rate, then Vy • Cruise checklist
DRAG DEMONSTRATION
• Clearing turns, slow to blueline • Clean configuration • Extend gear, add power for blueline • Flaps 15°,add power for blueline • Flaps 35°, add power for blueline • Close left throttle, open right • Flaps up to 15°, note VSI • Flaps to 0°, note VSI • Gear up, note VSI • Sim feather (MP 12”), note VSI • Throttles together to 15” MP • Cruise checklist
