RoHS - Overview
 As of 1st July 2006, all electrical equipment sold
within the EEC has to comply with RoHS
legislation
 The zinc plating currently used in the fastener
industry contains CR6 (Hexavalent chrome) –
this is a banned substance
 TR has already removed CR6 from most of its
supply chain
 CR6 has been replaced with the more
environment-friendy CR3 (Trivalent chrome)

How does it work?
TR Self-Clinch Range
Ideally, the base of the sheet should be supported by an anvil or
similar flat surface, however this can be reversed so the product
is supported the anvil.
The punch must be applied using a squeezing action and
not a a blow or trauma type force
