Win-win Opportunity Raising Knowledge of Self-Reliance
We give our sincere thanks and appreciation to all the Judiciary and others who have partnered with
ACC to create a viable working ALTERNATIVE and with ACC “help others help themselves.”
The beginning of Change lies within every individual. It is but the right time and
occurrence that will make a person spring into action and a new person is
formed.
For too long the criminal justice system has operated on an axis of theories that
although sound in principal, produce undesired results in its application. As a
result, the very purpose for which most criminal sentencing attempts to
alleviate it now perpetuates. Rehabilitation is a personal endeavor that is
concluded when an individual, not an institution, decides that it must occur.
Until the individual decision to change is made by the individual there is no change.
To that end, ACC is not anti-incarceration. ACC is pro-opportunity. ACC
gives its participants three important ingredients to put the person in the best
possible position conducive to make the individual decision to change.
ACC gives Education, Exposure, and opportunity. To take advantage of these
offering is totally left up to the individual. The result of this offering is seen in
our statistics where overwhelming majorities of individuals who attend and
complete the program do not go back into the criminal justice system.
With more than 17 years serving in the criminal justice system, Harry J. Bowden
realized the need for an “alternative” approach to recidivism. He founded
Alternative Choices Corporation in 1997.
We present to you a CHOICE THAT WORKS.
THE CHOICE…THE ALTERNATIVE…THE WORKS!
To reach our goal we use
the ultimate test, which is
Time, and the ultimate
teacher, which is
EXPERIENCE.

participants.
