CATEMA
• To cash in college credits with ACC, the student will need to earn a minimum of an 80% for the course w/ teacher approval.
• Credits earned are collected in an escrow account in ACC’s database.
• The student must create an ACC transcript by completing at least one course – no credit minimum to collect credits.
• All approved credits are then placed on student’s ACC transcript and may be transferred where accepted.

Due to recent state legislation, students who earn the IB Diploma are eligible for 24 college credit hours in all public post-secondary institutions in the state of Texas.

• Dual Credit = a course that satisfies both high school and college curriculum standards.
• A “C” or better must be earned for credit to be awarded at the high school. ( by district curriculum team.

How is “free” possible?
Citizens living in the ACC taxing district are eligible for reduced tuition rates. $54 vs $142 / credit hour ( 2009 prices ) High school students with parents living in the ACC taxing district are eligible for free tuition under ECS.
How is “free” possible?
High school students attending LISD, but residing outside the taxing district will pay a per course fee, unless financial need is shown or the ACC class is scheduled on the high school campus.
Developmental or non-credit courses (Continuing Education) do not fall under the free tuition standard.

• Other HS campuses also offer some space for testing convenience once per semester.
• COMPASS may be taken at any ACC campus with a test fee waiver – schedule a time with ACC.

Spring 2007, Leander HS re-established an ACC satellite campus Prompted by City of Leander to provide easier access to citizens living north.
Courses offered serve ECS students for dual credits, but are also common academic offerings available to the public.
