Objectives
Students will:
• Identify imperative sentences.
• Identify the simple subject in
declarative and imperative sentences.
Rules
• In an imperative sentence, you is
always the subject.
• It is usually not stated in the sentence.
• We say that you is the “understood”
subject.
• Example:
▫ Please bring your camera.
▫ The understood subject is “you.”
