LEGAL ENVIROMENT:
NATIONAL PROGRAM FOR TRANSITION OF RADIO AND
TELEVISION BROADCASTINGS TO THE DIGITAL TECHNOLOGY
/ 275th Government Resolution in 2010/
The first aim:
To create the legal environment for transition of radio and television
broadcastings to the digital technology.

To make technological solution for transition of radio and television
broadcastings to the digital technology.

To organize framework for transition of radio and television
broadcastings to the digital technology according to the unified plan in

institutions and economic entity.

2011-2013: 10 billion tugrug (USD 8.2 million) for digital
tv migration
2014: To support to buy STB for low income household
•Other television networks will invested by private
sectors for digital television migration
Implemented work
1.Policies for the transition of digital radio and television
system approved.
2.The order, related to the digital radio and television system,
worked out.
3.The conditions and requirements, related to the digital radio,
television equipments, created.
4.The plan and allocation of the range frequencies, used for
the digital radio and television created.
5. We have cooperating with ITU expert for the digital television
migration project.

Radio, television broadcasting field’s important target is
to migrate the digital radio, television broadcasting

3. Network, which is transmitting the system of Analogue technology in
Mongolia now, will be terminated at 12 am , 31st July, 2014, and the
digital technology system will start in use.
4. To take advice from foreign and domestic countries, to disseminate the
experiences of the foreign countries, which have been already
transmitted to the digital radio and television broadcasting system.
5. To formulate the instructions and recommendation and to advertise to
the public.
6. To organize the training and advertisement among the citizen.
