Legislative and public policy initiatives at the federal level
• NAHU has developed strong working relationships with members of
both parties and has been instrumental in:
– Passing HSA legislation
– Passing Medicare Advantage legislation
– Removing the “Public Option” from health reform
– Coordinating repeal of Minimum Loss Ratio rules and other
health reform laws that are bad for the health insurance
market
