Bachelor of Business Administration is a very popular
Undergraduate Degree in India. The degree is awarded for a
program in Business Administration. The duration of the program
is 3 years, divided into many semesters. BBA program is designed
to give essential knowledge about Management education. The
program also develops the student’s entrepreneurship and
communication skills.
The students are prepared to discover changes created in
management career. Business Administration study methodology
includes training through practical classes. The program includes
case studies, industrial visits etc. BBA course also covers projects
and presentations. Bachelor’s degree courses in Business
Administration/ Business Studies/ Management Studies are called

Eligibility criteria for BBA
Usually there are no entrance tests for getting admission into this program.
Some institutes select only Indian citizens. The applicants must have
passed the HSC (10+2) from a reputed education board. The admission is
mostly carried out on merit basis. The marks needed in the +2 are at least
55%. Some institutes are keeping minimum age limit as 17 and a maximum
of 25 years.

Typically, BBA course is a 3 year course,
minimum eligibility for which is an intermediate
(10+2) with subjects such as accounts,
economics and business studies. BBA course
imparts basic knowledge as well as an
understanding of an organization's functions
such as marketing, finance, systems, human
resource management and is similar to an MBA
program. Subjects studied under this degree are

The BBA curriculum is designed to provide industry with young managers for entry
level positions for their first experience in a corporate role. The curriculum as
currently envisaged offers students a choice of specialization in marketing and / or
finance roles in the 3rd year of their program. Through a practical approach
towards the syllabus, guided by the faculty from the industry itself, students are
prepared for the real corporate world. Innovative methods of teaching consisting of
case study discussions, presentations, classroom debates & role plays are used to
make the classroom experience an invigorating one.

The candidate must have passed 10+2 or equivalent exam including international IB Diploma(IB
certificate awarded not eligible) in any stream from a recognized Board at first attempt and should
have
obtained a minimum of 50% aggregate marks for B.Com(Hons) Program & 60% aggregate marks
with
passing in mathematics/ statistics as compulsory subject for BBA program only.
Candidates who have not cleared the 10+2 or equivalent exam in the first attempt are NOT
eligible to apply for the admission to the courses. Further, those candidates who have passed
10+2 or equivalent exam by doing a part-time course or through distance
learning/correspondence/ externally/open school are not eligible to apply for these courses.
3.1 Candidates appearing for their final 10+2 or equivalent examination including IB Diploma can
also apply but their admission to the courses will be subject to criterion 3.1 above, obtaining the
required minimum cut off marks and also producing all the necessary documents, in original,
within the given stipulated time.
3.2 Those candidates who have passed, or, are appearing for 10+2 or equivalent examination from
a
Board/University where Grade Point Average is given, such candidates must produce in writing
from
the Board/University concerned about the equivalent percentage for the GPA obtained.

6.1 NMAT (C) for B.Com (Hons.) & BBA would be an objective type multiple-choice test.
(There
will be no descriptive type of questions).

The Commercial College heralded the entry of Commerce education in the university system of Delhi. The
initial funds for setting up of the College came from the Dewan Chand Trust. The University accorded
recognition to the College for preparing students for its Intermediate Examination (Commerce
Group). Enrolment of the first batch of students was made on the first floor of a ‘Hall’ opposite the St.
James’ Church at Kashmere Gate. Classes started with 12 students and four faculty members from a hired
bungalow at 8, Darya Ganj, New Delhi.
In 1932, the College was upgraded to the status of a Degree College and started awarding its graduates the
B.A. (Pass) (Commerce Group) Degrees of the University. The B.A. (Honours) (Commerce Group) Degrees
were introduced in 1943. Closely on its heels, the same year saw the entry of M.A. (Economics), and in 1948
M.Com was introduced. In 1949, when the B.Com (Honours) Degree was instituted in the University of
Delhi, teaching the course seemed to be natural task of the College. The B.A. (Honours) Economics was
introduced in 1958.
In 1951, on its Silver Jubilee, the College decided to convert itself into a College specialising in Commerce
and Economics, and also gave itself the present name in recognition of the contribution made by its founder
– Shri Ram College of Commerce (SRCC).
INFRASTRUCTURE
Class Rooms & Tutorials
SRCC is the only college in the University of Delhi who has upgraded its class rooms to facilitate
teaching through modern gadgets by shifting from traditional style of teaching. All the classrooms
and tutorial rooms in the college are fully air-conditioned. The class-rooms have been upgraded
with ceiling-mounted LCD projectors, roll-down screens, green boards and podium for faculty. With
the main building of the college being recognised by the Government of Delhi as a “Heritage
Building”, the class-rooms ambience has retained the heritage look with the vintage teak furniture.
In addition, the college has separate tutorial rooms in a separate Tutorial block.
Library
The college library is spacious with seating capacity for about 300 readers. It is well-stocked and
presently has a collection of over 65 thousand volumes on different subjects. Latest publications in
the fields of business studies, economics, humanities and social sciences are continuously added to
the collection to equip students with a wide range of academic material. The College Library is fully
automated and provides user services through computer. SRCC library is the first library in the
University of Delhi having Wi Fi facility.
The Library opens for eight hours from 8.30 a.m. to 5.00 p.m. However, during third term it opens
from 8.00 a.m. to 8.00 p.m. for student’s convenience.
The Library subscribes about 80 journals of national and international repute. The prominent
Journals being subscribed by the Library are: Accountancy, Accounting Review, American Economic
Review; Centre for Monitoring India Economy, Chartered Accountant, Economic and Political
Weekly, Economist, Harvard Business Review, Journal of Accountancy, Journal of Business, Journal
of Economic Literature, Journal of Economic Perspectives, Journal of Finance, Organizational
Dynamics, Vikalpa, Reserve Bank of India Bulletin, Seminar, Vision, Yojana, etc.
Computer Centres
The College has two well-equipped Computer Centers. Both the centers are provided with 40 computers, each with updated
software and hardware. Internet facilities are provided in each computer. Printing and scanning facilities are also available
with each computer through network. Each center is equipped with uninterrupted power backup.
The teaching of IT and computer related papers are imparted through LCD in the computer centers. In addition, the computer
centers are also available for the students for accessing internet, practice and preparing their projects. Internet with more
than 2 mbps data transfer rate is available. Wi Fi facility for laptop users is also available.
SPORTS
The College has extensive playing grounds, a swimming pool, tennis court, gymnasium, indoor badminton court, basketball
court, lawn tennis court, etc. The College has been excelling in sports for over two decades. Every year the College holds
Sports Carnival, Inter-class matches and Sports Day.
For proper training and grooming of players the College provides coaching facilities to the players for different games.
Games like Cricket, Football, Hockey, Basket Ball, Hand Ball, Badminton, Lawn Tennis, Table Tennis, Squash Racket,
Swimming, Shooting, Athletics etc. are patronized by the college.
At present the college sports complex is being revamped. The old indoor hall is being replaced with new indoor multi-sports
hall with facilities like - Physiotherapy Room, Medical Room, Sauna Bath, Meeting Room, Athlete Lounge etc.
SWIMMING POOL
SRCC is the only college in the North Campus having swimming pool facility. The swimming pool opens during summer
season only. The swimming pool is properly maintained and coaching facilities are also provided to newcomers.
Hostel
The College has limited accommodation facilities for boys and girl. The college has two separate hostels for boys and girls on
the campus itself. There is a big mess and common room in both the hostels. The messes are run on co-operative basis. The
college has outsourced on-campus laundry services for the resident students. The resident members also have medical
services from the University Health (Medical) Center, located in the vicinity of the college. The on-campus residence of a
number of students gives the college fraternity an image of an extended family.
Seminar Room
A state-of-the-art Platinum Jubilee Seminar Room is an addition to the existing infrastructure, constructed on the occasion of
the College’s Platinum Jubilee in 2000–2001. It is fully air-conditioned with LCD projection facilities.
Auditorium
The College has a big auditorium with over 750 persons seating capacity. The auditorium is equipped with lighting and sound
systems. All important functions are organized in the college auditorium.

St. Xavier's College is a Catholic institution, which strives to form men and

Admission Policy
St. Xavier’s College – Autonomous, affiliated to the University of Mumbai, runs BA, BSc, and
BCom Government Aided Degree Courses on Campus.
Admissions to most degree courses, except those explicitly specified (the BMM and BMS), are done on the basis
of the overall percentage of Marks scored in the Qualifying Examination. If the Qualifying Examination awards
Grades, these are converted into percentages according to a scale provided by the University of Mumbai.
The College is a Catholic Minority College, administered under the Provisions of the Indian Constitution, to
promote the welfare of the Minority community and to extend its services to all other communities in India, so as to
contribute to the harmony and integration of Indian society. 50% of seats are reserved for Catholic Minority
students. As per the directives of the Government of Maharashtra, there is also a reservation for Special category
students and for Backward Class students. The rest of the seats are for students from the General Category.
Admissions to the B.Com course are done through the College office, by filling up and submitting a form for the
same in June 2013, and through an interview with the Vice Principal of the Commerce section or his
representative. The Commerce Section holds classes in the late evening from 5.50 pm to 9.20 pm. It is not meant

Loyola College was founded by the Society of Jesus (Jesuits) in 1925, with the primary objective of providing

granted permission to start the College initially for a period
of two years, with 150 students on its rolls. The College building with its famed clock tower
was handed over by Seth Ramdeoji Anandilal Podar to the S.P. Mandali. Barrister M.R.
Jayankar inaugurated the college building formally. The college was named " Ramniranjan
Anandilal Podar College of Commerce". The Mandali has been rendering notable service
under tits motto of unflinchingly carrying out the mission undertaken and has kept up its
well- defined objectives. The objectives in regard to Commerce education have been to
extend popular and reasonably affordable higher education in Maharashtra and to develop an
institution that would impart appropriate education both in Commerce and Economics.
The institution first started the B. Com. Degree course in 1942 and the word Economics was
added to the name of College. It now became 'Ramniranjan Anandilal Podar College of
Commerce and Economics'. The College received permanent affiliation from the University of
Mumbai on 17th August, 1950.
Infrastructure
The college building was constructed in 1941. It is a Gothic structure with a clock tower. It is
located in the central part of the city between Dadar T.T. and Matunga C.R. providing convenient
access for Central and Western railway commuters as well as commuters of road transport. The
campus has an area of apprx.0.62 acres (2500 sq.mtrs.) and the built in area is 5055 sq.mtrs. The
building is in the shape of an inverted T.
The infrastructure supports the conduct of various academic programmes run by the College. The
rooms are made available for the conduct of lectures. The facilities available with respect to the
electronic and audio visual devices also support the conduct of academic programmes in an
appropriate manner. The reading hall with a capacity of four hundred students adequately supports
the academic requirements of the students. The classrooms are well equipped with adequate fans,
tube lights, desks and chairs to enable a conducive environment for academic exchange through
lectures. A few air-conditioned classrooms are available which are equipped with LCD projector. The
college has as many as 40 different forums which include statutory bodies such as NCC, NSS, WDC,
Extension, IQAC and Students' Council. Dedicated space is provided for the students with the
required resources such that the activities under these forums are conducted without disturbing the
lectures conducted in the college.

• The college has three computer labs for computer assisted learning in the subject of computer systems and
applications. Total 68 computer terminals with latest licensed software and hardware, are available. ge
•Seminar Hall
•The college has well equipped seminar hall with seating arrangement of 60 persons at a time. It has also been
provided with audio-visual equipments
•Auditorium
•The assembly hall, also known as the main hall or college auditorium is a multipurpose hall. The hall has a seating
capacity of 500. There is a stage for performing arts. At both ends of the stage, there are green rooms, one of
which is also used as a store room. The main hall is also used for indoor games such as badminton, judo and
boxing. Students use it for Youth festival practices, dance and drama. On Sundays and holidays, it is used for
college and community functions.
•Language Lab
•The college has a language lab with 15 well equipped computers along with one faculty terminal. The computers
have language lab software installed ad headphone and mike.
•Audio-Visual room
•The college has an audio-visual room fully equipped with electronic devices internet facility. This room is used for
conducting seminars, meetings and presentations for faculties as well as students. This room is also used as
Counselor�s room, where the counselor comes every Friday

•Reading room The college has a large reading hall facility with seating capacity of. Students are provided with
newspaper stands to have a better reading of the spread pages of the standard Indian news paper.
