Invitation to Participate:
Crisis Response Focus Groups
The Child, Youth and Family Services Coalition of Simcoe County is a county-wide alliance of
organizations that provide services to children, youth and their families. It is exploring how Simcoe County
Coalition partners can better coordinate current resources for more effective response to children, youth and
families in crisis. The aim is to develop an implementation plan that identifies key issues to address in the
provision of effective crisis response services, recommendations, and a workplan for development of
improved services.
In order to do so, we require a thorough understanding of the nature of the child/youth/family crises that
arise, how they are now managed, which crisis services are being used, why they are or are not helpful,
what issues exist in accessing them, and what can be done to enable the child/youth/family service system
to better respond to crisis situations. We need to hear from people on the front lines of service delivery
across Simcoe County.
Focus groups are being held in Alliston, Barrie, Collingwood, Orillia and Midland/Penetanguishene. We
wish to invite you to participate in one of these Focus Groups as follows:
