Personalised curriculum
• Not all students are the same – they have
different abilities and skills.
• We want to provide a curriculum that allows
for all students to succeed.
• Some students have been identified as
benefitting from some additional Maths and
English instead of an option choice.
Vehicle Technology
• This course can only have 12 students on it for
safety reasons.
• It is the only course that we run that will be
assessed during the course with only a 25%
final examination.
• We have selected the students who would
most benefit from this method of assessment.
Options forms
• At the end of the presentation please collect
the options forms.
• If your son/ daughter has been identified as
benefitting from one of the alternative
courses then there will be a letter explaining
that and a slightly different form to complete.

Parent and student meetings

OPTIONS FORM
Reserve Options Choices
• Please include two reserve choices on your

• This is very important as the school cannot
guarantee any choices at this stage.
• Please be aware that some options may not
run due to lack of interest from students.
Friday 6 February 2015
• This is the deadline for option forms to be
returned to Student Reception.
• Alternatively, these can be finalised and handed
to the linked teacher at your parent / student
meeting.
• A late return of the options form might risk a
student missing out on an option choice.
Wednesday 18 March 2015
• Parents and students will receive a letter
confirming option choices.
Contact us
• Please contact us at any stage throughout the
options process should you wish to discuss
