Significant Supporters

 Confirmed:
- Qualcomm(30kEUR), Actix (5kEUR), Signalion (5kEUR),
Dresden (20kEUR)
 Very likely sponsoring:
- Vodafone (>= 15kEUR), Ericsson (>= 5kEUR), Broadcom
(>= 5kEUR), NEC (>= 5kEUR), T-Mobile (>= 15kEUR);
- Requirement to be Keynote speaker: 5kEUR (though
15kEUR is recommended)
  150kEUR seems to be a very likely patronage
Additionally, several patronage requests are still not
answered/decided yet.

Hotels
 Contract with conference venue signed
 Hotel contracts not signed yet
- Hotels (except for Westin) will be booked through VDE’s
agency  no liabilities
- 3 Premium class hotels, 5 first class hotels, 3 standard
superior hotels ( too many hotels !?)
- Preference for Westin will be reflected on website
 Website will provided sufficient information how to reach
conference venue
 Very good public transportation from hotels to conference
venue

Local arrangements



Current choice is Westin Bellevue
- Banquet in Atrium of the hotel
- combined with tents outside of the hotel
- Located directly at the banks of the river Elbe
- Walking distance to conference venue: ca. 5-10min
Overall cost for 520 attendees: ca. 95,000 USD (excl. VAT)
Currently last alternative is evaluated (Albertinum Dresden), which is prefered
as long as costs are not higher

 “BMBF Statusseminar”: Annual workshop to present recent results of
BMBF funded projects
 Request:
- Co-locate “BMBF Statusseminar” with ICC 09 on Thursday
- “BMBF Statusseminar” and ICC09 are separated events (no
implicit registration)
- Turn-over for ICC09:
- ALL (!) participating partners will rent an exhibition booth (15-20
partners!)
- Some of the BMBF partners will enter the sponsoring program
- Strong exhibition area might attract more industrial attendance
