Financial Secretary

Receives all monies and provides receipts
Turns funds over to Treasurer, with appropriate report,
indicating source of funds
Maintains a record of individual member obligations and
keeps member informed
Provides chapter with a monthly financial report, in addition
to year end report
Submits books/records for purposes of audit/review and
ensures transfer of all required records to new Financial
Secretary
Serves as a member of the Finance Committee and must be
bonded.

Treasurer
Responsible for the deposit of all funds, after verification of
receipt from Financial Secretary
Reports the record of monies disbursed; all checks written must
utilize a voucher system
Reconciles monthly bank statements
Provides a complete financial report at each Executive Board
and chapter meeting
Presents a year-end report to chapter of all financial operations
Submits all necessary books/records for audit/review
Ensures transition of all required records to new Treasurer
Chairs the Finance Committee and must be bonded

Conferences
Reconcile funds received and submits to Treasurer for
deposit
Serves as a member of Executive Committee and
Finance Committee and works closely with Treasurer
as required
Is appointed by the Area Director and is bonded

Receives and deposits all funds from Financial Secretary and
National allotment funds
Pays all approved expenses
Compile and maintain accurate accounting of receipts and
disbursements of funds; provides a monthly financial report to
Executive Committee
Prepare, in conjunction with Finance Committee, Area budget that is
presented for voting by delegates during Area Conference
Submit audited financial statements to delegates during Area
Conference
Ensure annual audit is completed; submission of 990 is completed
and bonding insurance paid
Chair Finance Committee and must be bonded

Detail Oriented
Proficient/knowledgeable in accounting procedures;
reading of financial statements
Non-profit board experience can be a plus
Knowledgeable in use of Word, Excel, online financial
accounting software
Be an active member
Be willing to work and commit to the TIME required to
do the job
