Tablets have intuitive touch screen capability that allows quick gesture actions for opening and using on board applications (Apps) Tablets have Apps for Corporate E-Mail, Calendar, Contacts, Maps and Note Taking that can be accessed by a single touch/click – without logging into the full Citrix desktop By the public sector, for the public sector Mobile Working - What can you do with Tablets now? Tablets like Laptops are powerful and can run MS Office locally on the machine creating reports and other documents Tablets can use a ‘Stylus’ to handwrite to typed text enabling the user to write electronically and reduce the need to use paper forms or notebooks Tablets can use ‘Voice’ commands to control some of the features and even allow the user to type what is spoken, this works best with a Bluetooth Headset By the public sector, for the public sector Mobile Working - What are we delivering in the short to mid-term future? Can potentially compliment or replace GCSX use. • Fax to Desktop o RightFax system will enable users to send / receive faxes via their Citrix desktop connected devices. Frees up users from having to scan in a hardcopy fax, removes expensive hardware and leased lines.
