
Saab AB’s focus in SGO is to design and develop energy efficient
systems, integration of energy management systems and to develop
trajectory optimisation concepts to be able to fly “green trajectories”
during the full mission.
Saab participation in SGO:



WP leader and developer of on-board mission and trajectory optimisation concepts
to reduce the amount of emissions and the perceived noise
WP leader of Thermal Management. Saab will develop a Thermal Management
function that will manage and minimize the thermal peak loads of an more/all electric
aircraft in order to reduce system size and fuel consumption.
Design and development of a low power electro-mechanical de-icing system for an
all electrical aircraft. The system design will be validated in a flight test on a A320
aircraft

Aeronautics priority R&T in CleanSky
CLEANSKY
is of major importance for European Aeronautics R&T
to fulfil on the ambitious targets of ACARE
The special priority R&T needs for large commercial Aircraft are
covered in SFWA-ITD
• by developing an all new smart low drag wing
• by integration of innovative power plants
• through large, representative flight test demonstration
• engaging a wide range of partners from all over Europe
