But that’s not all!
We’re expanding the scope of
conference again in 2006:
Children’s Hospital had agreed to assist
in the creation/administration of a preconference CEU/CME session.
This will draw up to 500 physicians,
nurses and occupational and physical
therapists to the conference…
expanding our outreach and improving
medical care for people with OI
throughout the country.
Medical Support
Cooperation with the OI Clinic and
University Hospital will provide:
Additional Speakers & Break-out Sessions
On Site Medical Support
Tours of the OI Clinic & Medical Facility
A New Awards Dinner
We’re negotiating with the Omaha Zoo
to host our annual awards dinner at their
facility.
Transportation will be provided by a fleet of
handicapped accessible vehicles using two
private transportation companies
Dinner will be served at the zoo, after a
private tour of the facility
A new outdoor elevator will provide full
access to the entire zoo
Our talent show will take place “under the
stars” (weather permitting)
The bottom line…
Improved accessibility
Improved transportation
New social events
New medical support at conference
Outreach to the medical community
Greater visibility for the OI Foundation
Increased interaction between the OI
community and medical professionals
