Value-Added Agriculture
NCEast Alliance
o A regional economic development organization serving several
small metropolitan and micropolitan cities in eastern North
Carolina from the edge of the Research Triangle to the Atlantic
Coast. The organization and its predecessor have been and will be
involved in traditional economic development activities (branding,
marketing, lead generation) and capacity building (infrastructure
and workforce development).
o North Carolina’s Eastern Alliance (dba NCEast Alliance)
• private not-for-profit, 501c4 (partner in a 501c3)
• Formed in early 2000s, but limited use to augment NCER
• IgnitionEast (consultant event)
• EnvisionEast-2050 (creating a regional vision for future
development)
