Outline
 Introduction
 At present, the control of fixed conversion time is
widely used in each intersection traffic light in urban.
 For single intersection, we usually uses timing control
scheme, which is based on the historical data of the
traffic flow, artificially distributed the traffic light
time in N-S and E-W direction in advance.
Outline
 Introduction
 However, actual observation indicates that the vehicle
flux is unbalanced between highs and lows of the
traffic flow.
 Fuzzy control can control the random and complex
urban traffic effectively as it doesn’t need to build
accurate mathematical model.
