THE AFRICAN WILD DOG IS THE SECOND BIGEST CANINE .
The scientific name for the African wild dog is cape hunter.
It eats deer ,zebras, jaguars,graffs, buffalos and each
other.
This is were they live.
African wild dogs live in packs and hunt in packs

African wild dogs habitat is flat and clear areas that are sunny areas
The African wild dogs need food, home, water, mums to survive
The African wild dog comes from Africa and the wild
DESCRIPTION:
African wild dogs are the size of medium domestic
dogs.
Their Latin name, Lycaon pictus, means "painted
wolf-like animal."
Their coats are brown, black and beige.
They have large, rounded ears and dark brown
circles around their eyes.
The dogs differ from wolves and other dogs in that
they have four toes instead of five.
They are endangered because of humans destroying their habitat
and both accidentally and on purpose killing them.
Humans didn’t like them because they start to eat their prey when
they are still alive. Gross!!
They are also dying because of diseases like rabies.
POPULATION:
Between 2,000 and 5,000 of these dogs remain in the wild,
mostly in game preserves or national parks.

African wild dogs move by walking with four legs. They can also run very fast

What can people do to stop these creatures becoming exctinct?

Working hard to create a reserve for these animals where they will be safe
