Point and Press Programming® (Auto-Search)

The Point & Press® Programming method allows you to program your TV, VCR, DVD and
AUDIO devices without using codes

Instead, using a command (for example [CH ] or [CH ] on next slide) that you select, the remote
automatically finds the correct code for your electronic device

When programming using this method, the order you program your electronic devices is not important.

While the remote is searching for the correct setup code(s) for your electronic devices, it’s possible
that previously-programmed devices may turn off. If this occurs, continue pressing the [CH ] or
[CH ] buttons until you find the code for the device being programmed

When programming the remote using this method, it may take several minutes for the remote to search
through its entire code library for the correct code that turns the device you are programming on / off

For additional programming information, refer to the RT-U50 Instruction Manual, sections 5. & 14.
