NEW PRODUCT NEWS Preliminary ProHD Memory Card Camcorder GY-HM790 Picture shows with optional Remote Control adaptor, KA-M790 JVC ProHD compact shoulder camcorder to meet both Studio and Field production, with excellent image quality In ready-to-edit file format for major NLE systems JVC original Triplex offset technology and Adaptive Pixel Correlation technology Excellent image quality with high resolution and rich color reproduction, thanks to 1/3” progressive-scan 3CCD design with JVC original Triplex Offset technology and Adaptive Correlation technology. Multi-pin Interface, Genlock In, Time-code In/Out, for variety of peripherals to offer best solution The built-in Genlock In, Time-code In/Out, and Multi-pin (68pin) interface allows to equip variety of peripherals to fit GY-HM790 into variety of applications. * Multi-core studio adaptor for affordable Studio Production / Electronic Field Production (EFP) * Optical Fiber system for long distance remote control at Studio / EFP applications * Optional SxS Media Recorder also can be equipped for hybrid recording on two different types of memory 35Mbps High Image Quality recording, as native format file for major NLE systems JVC original Dynamic Digital Signal Processor (DDSP) performs on the full progressive 1920 X 1080 signal for best image quality in any shooting mode, and provide highly efficient compression up to 35Mbps per second. 35Mbps bit-rate can support full 1920 X 1080 sampling. Also, JVC’s native file recording technology stores video clip in the ready-to-edit file format for major NLE systems, thanks to selectable “.mov (for Apple’s Final Cut Pro system)” and “.mp4 (for other major NLE systems like AVID Media Composer / Adobe Premiere CS4 / Canopus Edius Pro. The created file is compatible with SONY XDCAM EX workflow.) NEW PRODUCT NEWS Preliminary 1/3” Progressive-scan 3CCD design with Triplex Offset and Adaptive Pixel Correlation 35Mbps (MPEG-2 HQ mode) and MPEG-2 SP mode (19Mbps/25Mbps) The three progressive-scan CCD design provides rich, accurate colors, while JVC original Triplex Offset technology in conjunction with pixel correlation adaptively increases the effective resolution both horizontally and vertically by shifting the red and blue pixels. It realizes dramatically higher horizontal / vertical / diagonal resolution. Also, thanks to matured CCD technology, GY-HM790 is free from wobbling phenomenon. JVC original 1080p Dynamic Digital Signal Processor can compresses video signals up to 35Mbps which enough to support full 1920 X 1080 sampling. The SP mode records at a constant bit rate of either 19Mbps or 25Mbps to ensure compatibility with a wide range of equipment. Native support for Apple QuickTime file format (for Final Cut Pro) and MP4 file format (mp4 file is compatible with SONY XDCAM EX format) Thanks to native file support for “.mov (Apple QuickTime file format for Final Cut Pro)” and “.mp4 (mp4 file is compatible with XDCAM EX workflow)”, GY-HM790 can create a ready-toedit video clips for major NLE systems, like Apple Final Cut Pro, AVID Media Composer, Adobe Premiere, Canopus Edius Pro, without re-encoding = without loosing image quality. Lens Interchangeability and Canon high quality HD lens GY-HM790 has the industrial standard bayonet lens mount, to offer a selection of lens according to acquisition objects. And GY-HM790 standard package comes equipped with high quality 14times Canon HD lens. SDHC Media Card recording with 2 card slots GY-HM790 uses standard, inexpensive, and widely available SDHC Class 6 or 10 memory cards. SDHC memory cards are small, light, robust and reliable. Also those can be read by PC using any standard card reader. SD Recording Capability in DV 25Mbps format GY-HM790 also offer Standard Definition (SD) recording capability in DV 25Mbps format. It allows step by step system upgrade, SD for today and HD for tomorrow. Thanks to widely accepted DV 25Mbps format, current SD users don’t need to change or upgrade NLE system. (GY-HM790U/CHU:DV60i only, GYHM790E/CHE:DV50i only) NEW PRODUCT NEWS Preliminary Multi-pin Interface, Genlock In, Time-code In/Out, for variety of peripherals to offer best solution GY-HM790 has genlock input capability for synchronization and time-code in/out making multi-camera shooting possible. In addition, GY-HM790 has the built-in Multi-pin (68pin) interface, which allows to equip variety of peripherals without external cabling, to fit GY-HM790 into variety of applications. * Multi-core studio adaptor for affordable Studio Production / Electronic Field Production (EFP) Camera Remote Unit RM-LP25 Remote Control Unit GY-HM790 Camcorder RM-HP250 with KA-M790 (Remote Control Adaptor) KA-790 (Studio Adaptor) VF-HP790 (8.4” Studio Viewfinder) HD-SDI Switcher KM-H3000/KM-H2500 LCD Monitor DTV series * Optical Fiber system (from Telecast Fiber) for long distance remote control at Studio / EFP applications Camera Adaptor (from Telecast) GY-HM790 Camcorder with KA-790 (Studio Adaptor) VF-HP790 (8.4” Studio Viewfinder) Camera Remote Unit RM-LP25 CCU Base Station (from Telecast) HD-SDI Switcher KM-H3000/KM-H2500 LCD Monitor DTV series * Optional SxS Media Recorder also can be equipped for hybrid recording on two different types of memory The optional SxS Media recorder, KA-MR100, allows simultaneous recording to SDHC cards and SxS Media. This hybrid recording system provides a reliable backup solution. KA-MR100 can be equipped to GY-HM790 without external cabling. Pre Rec. mode GY-HM790 continuously buffers about 3 seconds of video as retro cache recording, not to miss any significant moment shot. Pool-Feed recording (GY-HM790U/CHU model only) To fit a limited number of camera acquisition, the standard definition Pool-Feed recording function is equipped on GYHM790. HD/SD-SDI Output For live broadcasting application, or for monitoring, the GY-HM790 provides an uncompressed 4:2:2 full HD signal via it’s HD/SD-SDI connector in any HD mode. DV/HDV Output via IEEE-1394 The standard definition DV signals or HDV transport stream are available through the 4-pin IEEE1394 connector. These signals can be recorded on most “Firewire” recorder, including HDD recorder. So it allows an economical backup with HDD recorder.
