Scenario
You aspire to be a sports coach at a professional club and must explore how coaches have used various roles, responsibilities, skills and techniques successfully. By gaining this key information you are able to lead a presentation to other aspiring coaches on the key aspects of effective coaching.
Task 1 – P1

Research
the roles performed by a successful coach (innovator, friend, manager, trainer, role-model, educator etc.) • Create an
observation checklist
focussed on these roles and observe a coach/teacher.
Task 2 – P1/M1
• In groups
discuss impact

coach and relate these to practical scenarios.
