Maine 2014/2015 Transmission Outages
• Changes to plan typically result in increased construction cost
– Costs include overtime, additional contractor resources, expedited
material, additional engineering and outage coordination resources,
environmental mitigation, schedule and remobilization costs,
permitting, etc.
• Outages that have the potential for significant impact to
generators in 2014/2015 will be discussed
– Long (greater than one week) duration outages
– Significant potential generation constraints

CMP Outage Applications
• Central Maine Power had 1,400 outage applications in 2013
• There have been 517 transmission (>34.5kV) and 185 subtransmission (34.5kV) outage applications in 2014
• The MPRP Project has submitted 975 outage applications for
the project through March 19, 2014
• The outages range in duration from a few hours to eleven
months in length
• The MPRP team anticipates that there will be an additional
300 – 400 outages needed to finish the program
