From the Focus Group Interview to mothers (n=24) in Singapore done
in Nov 2006, we studied mother’s needs and decided the specification

What is Peristaltic Motion?
This sequence takes approximately from 0.6 to 1.2 seconds
Peristaltic motion is the smooth wave-like
motion of a baby’s tongue.
A baby moves its tongue like a wave, rolling
it front to back to extract milk.
It is very important for the natural
development of a baby that this action be
encouraged.
