In 1st phase, each team is allocated a mock $100,000 trading allowance to buy and sell crude oil, gold, and corn futures contracts. In 2nd phase, individual students compete in the techniques of exchange floor “open outcry” trading, and are judged by NYMEX/CBOT traders on their ability to fill orders and utilize proper trading techniques. FIN 495 TVA INVESTMENT CHALLENGE

• • • • • • An opportunity to manage a $300,000 portfolio of common stocks on behalf of TVA.

Previously the only investment challenge available at UT was the Torch Funds, in which membership was limited to only MBA students.

The TVA Investment Challenge is a new fantastic opportunity for both finance and accounting undergraduate students.

Selection for the TVA fund will be highly competitive. If you are considering a career in finance or accounting, then you should consider applying for the challenge (in which course credit is given!).

) Email to COB students, applications accepted in late October for Spring Semester.
