Program of Study (POS)

Where can I find a POS template?

• From your program advisor or the Graduate Affairs office.

When is my POS due?

• Masters & Specialist students - by the end of the 2 nd major term • Doctoral students - by the end of the 3 rd term major

What Should I Include in my Program of Study?

• Include all courses completed and currently enrolled. Also include future courses required for your program.

• Include the semester and year of each course.

• Include the grade earned in each course. • Submit to Graduate Affairs in ED 115.

Where Can I Find My GPS Report?

• Log in to your MyUCF with your PID & password • Look for the icon below on your screen.

• Click on Graduate Plan of Study to generate your report

• At least once each semester.

• To track your progress in your program.

• Location: Education Complex Room ED 120 • Closed for University holidays and semester breaks • Entry by access code that changes each semester - Visit the Graduate Affairs Office for access code.

• 4 computer stations available that include SPSS Statistical software

Curriculum Materials Center (CMC)

• Location: Education Complex Room ED 161 • Operating Hours: Monday – Thursday 7:45 a.m. – 9:00 p.m.

Friday 7:45 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Saturday 8:00 a.m. – 5:00 p.m.

Closed on Sundays, University holidays, and during semester breaks • Graduate Students are allowed longer check-out times • Scanners, DVD/CD Burners, Laminating Machine, and Die Cuts available. Printing and photocopying available for a fee.

TRANSFER CREDITS

No more than a total of 9 external semester hours will transfer into your UCF graduate program.

Internal transfer credits may not exceed 50% of the program requirements.

TRAVELING SCHOLAR

Written permission is required from your faculty advisor to take courses at other institutions while enrolled in your graduate program. An official transcript must be submitted to the College of Graduate Studies for transfer credit. Only courses with a grade of “B-“ or higher may be transferred into a program of study.
