Mummy
A mummy is the body of a person (or an animal)
that has been preserved after death.
Natron
Natron is a natural salt found on the banks of the
Nile River.
Ancient Egyptians used it to dry out bodies
during the mummification process.
Resin
Resin is a glue substance made from plants. It is
used to wrap bodies with linen to mummify.
Canopic Jars
Canopic jars are the containers where the
mummy’s organs were stored.
The canopic jars were then put inside a
canopic chest and then placed in the tomb.
