Chapter 11
• Creature tells story
• Learned basic survival:
night/day; food; warmth and
shelter
• Saw other people and
surprised at their fearful
reactions to him
• Retreated both for
“inclemency of season” and
“barbarity of man”
• Begins watching young family
Chapter 14
• History of DeLacey family (once
rich and respected)
• Met Safie’s family, enemies of
state, which caused DeLacey
downfall
• Safie and Felix in love

• Learns more about family:
poor; young boy and girl plus
old man
• Creature does small jobs to
help them
• Begins to learn music,

-Even included Blackenstein, a “blacksploitation” film
-1960s TV Show The Munsters used Herman Munster
character
-The Creature has been used to advertise Twix,
Volkswagen, Pepsi and Radio Shack
