Introduction

This is 36 point Times font – easy to read, and about the right size.

This template is for a 48 ” wide x 36 ” tall poster. It can also be printed onto 11x13 paper for distribution. The Westmont Seal is a high-res graphic, so should print well at all sizes; the background is dark maroon (school colors) Here are some symbols using PowerPoint standard fonts) don ’ check the PDF you generate!

Think of your poster as an

illustrated abstract

– less is more, and visual is better than tezt.

Method

Be sure to say something about participants, apparatus, and procedure. Illustrations of experimental setup are useful.

High-quality jpeg images can be used, but you must make sure they look good at the size they will be displayed. The same is true for TIFF images..

. This is 28 point font – small, but probably large enough for figure captions.

Discussion

Of course, the textbox and graphics layout here is only a starting point – depending on amount of text and size & numnber of your graphics, you to move these around and resize them.

Font can be smaller for references (this is 28 point).

. PDF images are ideal – they are “ vector graphics, ” multiple sizes without requiring large file sizes.

Results

Results should have very little text (perhaps only figure captions, in which you draw attention to the main patterns of the data shown in the figures). This section may seem “out of order” for an APA paper, but helps feature the results prominently for the reader in a poster.
