SightFirst I & SightFirst II

The SightFirst Programs are funded by voluntary
donations not from dues dollars.


Total funds raised for Sight First I were over 140 million
Funds were distributed to address leading causes of blindness
Trachoma, Onchocerciasis - river blindness, Xerophthalmia, Glaucoma,
Diabetic Retinopathy
SightFirst I restored sight to over 30 million people since 1990.

Total funds US$200,329,297 raised since 2004 for use in SightFirst II:

$102 million will contain and possibly eliminate the leading causes of
avoidable blindness.
$48 million will combat emerging threats to sight.
$50+ million will provide "Vision for All" through research, rehabilitation, and
outreach to vulnerable populations.




Kansas Lions Sight
Foundation





The Kansas Lions Sight Foundation seeks to promote eye
health through support of educational institutions and related
services.
Provides for the scheduling of the Kansas Lions Sight
Foundation/Kansas Blue Cross/Blue Shield Foundation Mobile
Screening Unit.
Provides Sure Sight Screeners to Early Childhood Programs
around Kansas.
Seeks to promote recycling of used eyeglasses.
Provides a connection between citizens needing specialized
eye care treatments and KU Medical Center.
Kansas Lions Band
Foundation



The Kansas Lions Band Foundation, Inc. was formed to
maintain, support and promote annually, a band consisting of
Kansas high school students.
Through donations from individuals, Lions Clubs, fund raisers
and the annual auction the foundation has supplemented the
operating expenses of the State Band camps and the
International Band trips to the Lions International Convention.
Donations may be given as dedicated or non-dedicated.
Donations given to the foundation are tax deductible under
Sec. 501, c, 3 of the Internal Revenue
