Levels of Food Pyramid
Although the daily allowances differ among age, sex, and
physical activity, these are the general amounts:

Grains

◦ 3 to 5 ounce equivalents

Vegetables
◦ 2 cups

◦ 1 to 1 ½ cups

Fruits
Oils
◦ 3 to 4 teaspoons

◦ 1 to 1 ½ cups

Dairy
Meats and Beans
◦ 2 to 4 ounce equivalents

◦ 30 minutes a day at the minimum
