Chemical properties
Reactivity:
MgS reacts with water to give hydrogen sulphide and
magnesium hydroxide.
(i.e. MgS evolves hydrogen sulphide upon contact with
moisture.)

# Store in tightly closed containers in a
cool, dry place.
# Wash hands and face after use.
# Handle in a controlled atmosphere.
# Extinguishing media: Use dry chemical,
CO2 or graphite. DO NOT USE WATER.

Uses
It is generated industrially in the production of metallic iron.

the respiratory tract.
Contact with skin:
May cause irritation, itching, and dermatitis(皮膚炎).
Contact with eyes:
May cause burning sensation, irritation, redness and watering of the eyes if it comes in contact.
