Deoxygenated blood returns to the
right side of the heart through the
superior vena cava (upper body)
and inferior vena cava (lower body)
Deoxygenated blood is pumped
from the heart to the lungs through
the pulmonary arteries.
Oxygenated blood returns to the left
side of the heart through the
pulmonary veins.
