
A Call to Show Christ
“ As it is written in the Prophets: “Behold, I send My messenger
before Your face, Who will prepare Your way before You.” “The
voice of one crying in the wilderness: ‘Prepare the way of the
Lord; Make His paths straight.’”
Vs 2-3
‘Then I asked, “Who are you, Lord?” “I am Jesus, whom you are
persecuting,” the Lord replied. “Now get up and stand on your feet.
I have appeared to you to appoint you as a servant and as a witness
of what you have seen and will see of me. I will rescue you from
your own people and from the Gentiles. I am sending you to them
to open their eyes and turn them from darkness to light, and from
the power of Satan to God, so that they may receive forgiveness of
sins and a place among those who are sanctified by faith in me.”
Acts 26: 15-18

Call to Rest in Christ
At that time Jesus came from Nazareth in Galilee and was
baptised by John in the Jordan. Just as Jesus was coming up
out of the water, he saw heaven being torn open and the Spirit
descending on him like a dove. And a voice came from heaven:
‘You are my Son, whom I love; with you I am well pleased.’
Vs 9-11
“Oh, that You would rend the heavens! That You would come
down! That the mountains might shake at Your presence.” Is
64:1
“Then the veil of the temple was torn in two from top to
bottom. 39 So when the centurion, who stood opposite Him,
saw that He cried out like this and breathed His last, he said,
“Truly this Man was the Son of God!”
15:38,39
Vs 11 is taken from 3 sections

Psalm 2:7

“Then God said, ‘Take your son, your only son, whom you love –
Isaac – and go to the region of Moriah. Sacrifice him there as a burnt
offering on a mountain that I will show you.’
Gen 22:2
“With you I am well pleased”
“Here is my servant, whom I uphold, my chosen one in whom I
delight; I will put my Spirit on him, and he will bring justice to the
nations.”
Isaiah 42: 1

A Call to Pray
35 Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got
up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he
prayed. 36 Simon and his companions went to look for him, 37
and when they found him, they exclaimed: ‘Everyone is looking
for you!’
Vs 35- 37
“Katadaiko” = to hunt someone, to track someone
Zeteo
= with an evil intent and wrong motives
18 And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers
and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on
praying for all the Lord’s people. 19 Pray also for me, that
whenever I speak, words may be given me so that I will
fearlessly make known the mystery of the gospel, 20 for which I
am an ambassador in chains. Pray that I may declare it
fearlessly, as I should.
Ephesians : 6: 18-20
