Today is Read Across America, an annual project of the National Education Association , which began in 1997. Its purpose is to motivate kids to read and to spotlight the importance of reading. Read Across America Day, the annual celebration of reading! This even takes place on Dr. Seuss's birthday, which is March 2nd.
Congratulations to Kamren Gilbard for being the DAR’s State Winner for the Christopher Columbus essay contest. Kamren’s essay will now go to the national judging arena. Congratulations to her and APUSH teacher Mrs. Preising!
