Sites & Attractions: Kazakhstan has many great places to
visit or entertain clients.
• Charyn Canyon: Located near Almaty along the Charyn
River, the 80-kilometer canyon is the second largest in
the world. Take a guided tour of the Charyn National Park
for views of the canyon’s diverse and unusual rock
formations. See the Valley of Castles and fossil remains
on the slopes that date as far back as 300 million years.
• Baiterek Tower: Resembling a giant lollipop, the 105meter tall building is considered a symbolic landmark to
the city of Astana. Take a ride up to the observation deck
for panoramic city views, visit the aquarium, browse the
art gallery or dine at the restaurant, all located within.
• Aksu-Zhabagly State Natural Reserve: Visit the
oldest protected area in Central Asia, which is home
to 1,279 species of plants, 51 species of mammals and
850-square-kilometers of forests, meadows, streams,
rivers and mountains. Hike the foothills, go on a
horseback ride, or take an excursion to the Aksu Gorge
or Karatau Moutains.
Sporting Events: As the home to multiple professional sports
teams, Kazakhstan offers many opportunities to enjoy
exceptional athletic events. You can purchase tickets at the
ticket window. Professional sports teams include FC
Ordabasy, FC Lokomotiv Astana, FC Kairat, KaztsinkTorpedo Ust-Kamenogorsk, Kazakhmys Satpaev and
Gornyak Rudnyi.
Tipping: Tipping is not customary or expected in Kazakhstan.
