(sports); Martin Luther King, Jr. (civil rights); Jimmy Carter (leadership and human rights).

Assessment Activities
Have students complete a flip book about the life and contributions of each historic figure.
Create a Bio Cube to summarize each historic figure.
Complete a Biography Poem about each historic figure. See attached template.
Keep an anchor chart to summarize the contributions, everyday life, Georgia location,
travel, impact of travel, and citizenship traits of each historic figure.

During the 2nd grading period:

the contributions made by Jimmy Carter.
