Role of the school counselor
•Before applying to any post-secondary program,
parents and students should meet with the high school
guidance office to learn about the program. The
guidance office plays a critical role in understanding
the program and how the school district’s policies
relate to the following.
•Full-time equivalency with
high school and college
enrollment
•Repayment policies in the
event of withdrawal or failure
•How KSU grades are
accepted on the high school
transcript
Timeline
The guidance office will
mail a letter inviting
students and parents to a
PSEOP informational
meeting.
Sign an intent to
participate by March 30th.
•Scheduling for high school
classes
•Remaining graduation
requirements and if college
courses will fulfill those
requirements
