Osmolarity
Quantity of osmotic particles diluted in one liter of water.
W.H.O recommanded in the past an osmolarity of 310 mosm
for oral rehydration solutions.
Recently, W.H.O & UNICEF are recommanding to ORS manufacturers
To reduce this osmolarity to 235 mosm.
Osmolarity of Dextrolyte ORS is in accordance with this recommandation: ( 250 mosm)

Using method
• Dissolve the content of one sachet in 200 ml of water.
• you obtain 200 ml of ORS solution.
• give 10 ml of solution per kg of weight, every hour.
• for a children of 4 kg, it gives : 10 ml x 4 kg = 40ml.
• 40 x 24 H = 960 ml >>>>>>> 1 liter of solution / 24 hours.
• Keep the solution in the refrigerator.
•Keep for 24 hours maximum.
