Colorado River
• Runs through: Colorado, Utah, Arizona, Nevada, and California
• Major river of the Southwestern United States
Rio Grande River
• It starts in the Rocky Mountains
• Flows through the entire state of New Mexico, Colorado, and around the
entire southern boarder of Texas
Mississippi River
• The Mississippi River lies in the following ten US states: Louisiana,
Mississippi, Arkansas, Tennessee, Kentucky, Missouri, Illinois, Iowa,
Wisconsin and Minnesota
Ohio River
• Runs through Illinois, Indiana, and Ohio
• Largest tributary to the Mississippi River. It is 981 miles long.
Hudson River
• It is located in New York, flows north to south. It also forms the boarder of
New York and Mexico
• It is 315 miles long
