During the planning of our Film Noir trailer, me and the group discussed
that we would want Detective Julian Finch to make a phone call to his
boss. We needed to find an old fashioned phone that would reflect
back to Classic Film Noir, as using a modern one would not work.
However although it has be discussed that our Film Noir may be
converted to a Neo-Noir, me and the group have decided that we
would combine both Classic and Neo-Noirs. Meaning our trailer will
consist of both Classic elements as well as modern (Neo) ones to.
This will be one of our main props within our Film Noir trailer,
due to the fact it will be frequently shown. It is important as it
demonstrates that money has a participation within the crime,
however we do not plan to open the brief case due to the fact
we want the audience to imagine and keep it as a mystery.
BRIEF CASE
This prop is also commonly seen in Classic Film Noirs, and so is
defiantly important to add elements such as these to portray our
film noir as a Classic.
However it is also a common prop to use when portraying a
stereotypical detective within a film. It is considered as iconic
and so thought it would be best to include it so audiences will
easily identify the detectives within our trailer.

briefly within the trailer.

CIGARETTES
Another prop included for our trailer is a note
book. This was planned as we wanted to
establish that the Julian Finch jotting ideas
down to represent him as a detective as they
tend to keep a notebook and pen.
Smoking is an iconic element within a Film Noir film, and
so me and the group plan for the detectives, such as
Morrison and Finch to smoke as it gains a sense of
menacing effect that relates to Film Noir.
