Background introduction
• As the need for superior quality increases
processors are adding more quality inspections to
their processes
• Positive pressure screening has been identified
as a valuable potential market where Russell
Finex can achieve sales
• A need to screen incoming ingredients during
dilute phase pneumatic conveying was identified.
• Customers need to screen incoming ingredients
without slowing down the delivery/unloading
process
Background introduction
• Some of our competitors are already exploiting
this market
• Russell Finex have the expertise to provide better
solutions to the problems associated with positive
pressure sieving
• Pressurised panwork has been developed
previously for the C600 C.I.P.
The Blow Thru Sieve Introduction
• Completely enclosed
vibratory screener
• Fully certified pressure
vessel
• 2 dished body sections
connected by a hinge
• No spacer or magnet
• Mesh frames modified with
cross members. Larger than
standard Compact 600
• 2 inspection ports as
standard
The Blow Thru Sieve Introduction
• Oversize outlet not yet
available but will be later
on
• 3 lifting lugs
• Minimum mesh size at
present is 1000 micron.
This may change as we
get experience.
How it works
• Material enters the sieve under
pressure via a tangential inlet
• Good product passes through
the mesh
• Oversize material is collected
on top of the mesh
• Good material passes out of
the sieve via an outlet at the
bottom

Main benefits to customers
• Removes contamination to
improve product quality and
ensure customers reputation
• Screening and conveying in
one process increases
efficiency by eliminating
double handling/processing
• Completely enclosed
screening reduces mess and
potential harm to operators
• The fully mobile unit can be
used at multiple locations in
one site
Benefits over Competitors
• Fully certified and tested for use in
a positive pressure line
• Constructed to PD5500.
• Conforms to pressure equipment
directive 97/23/EC.
• High throughput rates are achieved
with straight through design and
tangential inlet and outlet
• Disassembly is an easy task due to
simple design and is achieved
using a single inclusive tool
• Safety features
– Lock-off system prevents
accidental closing during cleaning
– Spring assisted opening limits
manual lifting
Specifications
