Our Objectives
To ensure children:
• Have an understanding of abuse in
all its forms, including bullying, and
an ability to recognise the signs of
abuse
• Are aware of how to get help and
sources of support e.g. teachers,
parents or carers.
All children have the right to
be happy and safe

Of
Worries
Buddy says...
Sexual abuse is when a child is being made to
do anything with their body that frightens or
worries them. It can involve touching,
kissing, being made to show private parts of
their body, or being made to do this to another
person.
Being made to look at rude films or pictures in
books, magazines, on TV or the internet
is also sexual abuse.
10
OK or Not OK
• An adult says that what’s going on is a secret.
• Someone says rude things to a child or makes
them watch a rude film.
• A family member gives a child a kiss goodnight.
• Someone watches a child getting washed or
dressed.
• Someone touches a child when the child doesn’t
want them to.
The difference to local children so
far…
“I learnt that abuse is never your fault”
“It was helpful because it explained in detail what I need
to do if anything is wrong”
“Thank you. I wanted to tell you I wish I had known
about ChildLine. I was bullied when I was younger and I
didn’t know anyone to talk to. I would have called you if
I had known.”
