Invalid TIR Carnets

 TIR Carnet is reported by Association as: • Lost, Stolen, Destroyed • or • In the hands of a suspended or excluded Holder  IRU will: • “stop” the TIR Carnet, declare it invalid / invalidated • notify Customs through CUTE-Wise © International Road Transport Union (IRU) 2007

Invalid TIR Carnets

 Customs must not accept any invalid TIR Carnet  If Customs are presented with an invalid TIR Carnet then they must: • retain it • send it back to IRU or to national Association © International Road Transport Union (IRU) 2007
