CIVIL AIR PATROL CADET PROTECTION POLICY

The Cadet Perspective

Policy

• The Civil Air Patrol has “zero tolerance” for all forms of drug abuse child abuse and within the CAP program.

• The protection of CAP cadets is the highest priority • The best effort has been made to eliminate both child abuse and drug abuse from all CAP activities.

Types of Cadet Abuse

• • • Sexual – Molestation, touching, contact, exposure, suggestions Physical – Assault, hitting, kicking, pushing Hazing – Conduct whereby someone causes another to suffer or to be exposed to any activity that is cruel, abusive, humiliating, oppressive, demeaning, or harmful.

• Individuals who present the biggest risk are not strangers • You are not to blame, the aggressor is responsible
