 Department of Carbohydrate Food Engineering  Department of Food Preservation Engineering focused on the experimental investigations concerned dietary fibres, products with low trans fatty acids, starch derivates (maltodextrines), functional diary prducts and oil in water emulsions Current research focuses on developing cookies and fat filling with low energy and high nutritive value and their characterization using NMR, DSC, texturometer and rheological measurements.

Few PhD thesis are defended on this subject.

Investigations are at the moment carry out on microfiltration in the starch, sugarand diary industry.

 Department of Biotechnology and Pharmaceutical Engineering investigation of development of bioethanol production from byproduct and intermediate from sugar beet processing. The special emphasis of this investigation is effects on ecology and remission of effect of greenhouse. Application of bioethanol as renewable fuel tributary on remission of harmful gasses: CO 2 , NO, SO 2 . They also work on water and wastewater treatment by adsorption, coagulation/flocculation.
